August & September’s work

We have had a busy few weeks weaving orders for a diverse set of projects.  Mainly different private homes which are all being designed with a luxurious, tactile, hand made feel in mind.  A pair of shaggy subtly graded pink tufted mohair carpets  look so good I do not want to let them go.  They begin with a soft, light pink and move into a darker, bolder shade.  We dyed a total of 4 colours but used 8 different combinations to achieve the look.  We are also doing a collection of carpets for a new home where the colours translate through the order.  There is such consistency through it, I can imagine walking from room to room and seeing the flow.   

We have also received a set of 40 year old curtains which we are doing our best to assist – they have become somewhat worn, but the colour is as intense as ever.  It literally glows and pulsates with its vibrant shade, a testament to the longevity of the dyes and the fabric.
