Raffia can be dyed and is woven with cotton in a variety of patterns and combinations for upholstery and cushion covers.  Due to cotton being prone to fading, it is not suitable for curtaining fabric.Raffia and cotton upholstery is more densely woven and needs to be handled by an experienced upholsterer.  It is ideal for light traffic areas only such as ottomans and footstools and lampshades.

Cushion covers can be customised in size (from about 0.30m width to 0.70m or wider).  They are finished with wooden buttons and usually have a looped edge, although can be woven with a straight selvedge and envelope closing.

Maximum width is 1.40m.
