Silky Tufted Carpet circa 1975

This carpet recently came to us for cleaning – it was made in about 1975 and is still in perfect condition.  It is 100% nautral, undyed “chalk” mohair and is woven in combination of tufted and flatpile design.  It is super soft underfoot and as it has aged the mohair has taken on a silky texture and a shiny hue.  It really is a testament to the durability of mohair – it gets better with age.
