We've been as busy as ever in our Studio working on raffia curtaining woven on a brown warp for a well known lodge in Kwa-Zulu Natal that is being rebuilt after burning down. The decorators have used an eclectic mix of textiles, lots of hand prints and unique combinations. Our curtaining and cotton throws are used throughout.
In addition we've been working with a variety of striped warps which always create such potential for pattern, but it's not always easy to get the balance right. I think my recent trip to Scotland has inspired this, although it is something we keep coming back to in the studio.
As the year is beginning to tail off, there seems to be an urgency in getting as much done as possible, so many things to try and we're working with some exciting combinations of textures and materials that we have not tried before.
