Welcome World Cup Visitors

We have seen a great variety of football supporters who have made a trip to Swaziland and stopped by at our shop in Piggs Peak.  They seem to be having a great time – it is a pity Nelspruit/Mbombela which is near by is only hosting 4 games, and opening round ones at that.  The World Cup has provided a noticible boost to our little corner of Swaziland – everyone is abuzz with talk about which teams they will support, how they have played and how they have followed the fortunes of Bafana Bafana.  Now, for Africa, it is down to Ghana.

2010 Football Fever

I am lucky enough to go and see Ivory Coast vs. North Korea – the last game to be played in Nelspruit tomorrow.  Never having watched a full match in my life, Bafanas opening match against Mexico got me hooked.  The atmosphere is contagious and one cannot but help be swept away in all of this!
